About Daily Health Notes
Daily Health Notes is a small, independent wellness blog. We read the research so you don't have to, then write it back in plain English: short, useful notes on blood sugar, sleep, skin health, and the everyday habits of healthy aging.
Who writes here
Our editorial team is led by Karen Ellis, who has covered consumer health for more than a decade, and David Ruiz, who writes our well-being coverage. Every note is edited before publication, and we name the person responsible for every piece.
How we decide what to write
Three questions govern the notebook: Is it supported by more than one study? Can a normal person actually do it? Would we tell our own families the same thing? If a topic doesn't pass all three, it doesn't run. We are deliberately slow on "new" findings — single mouse studies and press releases are not notes.
What we don't do
- We don't publish sponsored articles disguised as advice.
- We don't sell supplements, plans, or miracle anything.
- We don't accept payment to review or cover a product.
How we're supported
Daily Health Notes is reader-supported. Occasionally we feature offers from publishing partners in our emails; when a reader chooses one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to them. That arrangement never shapes what appears in our articles — coverage and commerce are kept strictly separate, and our notes never require or recommend any purchase.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes; the only fix is doing it in public. If you spot an error, write to corrections@daily-health-notes.com. Confirmed errors are corrected with a dated note at the bottom of the article.
